Press Reviews

“With "Nightsphere" Heretoir have not just created an atmospheric post-black metal album, but an emotional masterpiece of black metal art that is much more than just music. This interplay between hopefulness on the one hand and despair on the other has not only been masterfully incorporated into post-metal compositions, but also provided with correspondingly emotional vocals and sound structures, making this album a real pleasure to listen to. […] This is exactly how atmospheric post-black metal should sound in 2023.”

“Musical craftsmanship! You could also just call “Nightsphere” the post-black metal record par excellence […] The Germans of Heretoir are at the top of this particular subgenre. Purchase required, year list material!”

95/100 - ZWARE METALEN

“The band, which was founded in Augsburg, manages to create its very own atmosphere in which thoughts and emotions can simply wallow. Sometimes melancholic and dreamy, then again powerful and angry - almost theatrical. [...] Fans of Alcest are sure to have a good time with this album.”
